About Us
We were founded in Southampton around 2002 by a group of passionate musicians, and since then, we've grown into a vibrant and welcoming community band. With over 35 members, we're made up of some of the area's finest musicians, all united by a love of wind band music. We rehearse and perform music across all genres, striving to achieve the highest standards with the expert guidance of our professional conductor and musical director.
Throughout the year, we share our passion for music by putting on around five concerts in and around the local area. This includes two solo concerts and at least one event designed for children and families, ensuring our programme is always fresh, fun, and accessible to the community.
Our rehearsals are a mix of challenge, encouragement, and plenty of laughs, as we work to grow as musicians and explore our extensive music library.
Rehearsals take place on alternate Sundays from 2.15 to 5.00 pm at Wallington Village Hall, Fareham (PO16 8ST), with a 15-minute break halfway through for tea, coffee, and a good chat.
We're a sociable bunch, so after rehearsal, many of us head to the nearby pub for a pint and some snacks.
Everyone's welcome to join in – whether you're a seasoned player or just looking for a fun, friendly group to be part of!
